Armbruster Landscaping is a family owned and operated, full service landscape company serving Bergen County New Jersey.

Our History

Armbruster Landscaping was started in 1972 by Joseph C. Armbruster.  For many years it was a small part-time business.  In 1994, Joseph M. Armbruster entered the business as a full-time employee and the small business started to grow rapidly.

Due to the rapid growth, Joe Sr. became full time in 2000, and several years later Matthew Armbruster joined as a full-time employee.  The business has grown to ten full-time employees and close to three hundred customers.

In 2012, Armbruster Landscaping became Armbruster Landscaping LLC.  In 2013, sons Joe and Matthew became the owners of the business and Joe Sr. continues as the office manager.

Certifications, Licenses & Insurance

The three Armbrusters have taken courses at Rutgers University to broaden their knowledge of landscaping, with Matthew earning a Landscape Management Certification.  Specialization has focused on areas such as:

• Planting Design
• Shrub Identification
• Low Voltage Landscape Lighting
• Insects, Diseases and Weeds of Turf and Shrubs

We are pesticide certified by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and are a member of the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association.  We are fully insured and Certificates of Insurance are available upon request.
